For the last ten years I've gone on a ski trip with my friends for 3 days of skiing and fun. Until this year, I've never been able to ski all three days and usually only make it through the first one before I'm too tired and sore to do any more skiing and I end up hanging out by myself in the condo while everyone else is out skiing. I started Crossfit in November when CF Erie opened and by February I was so much stronger that not only did I ski all three days, I had energy left over and wish we'd stayed another day. Right after that trip we started the spring Nutrition Challenge and I lost 5.5 lbs of fat and gained 1 lb of muscle. I get compliments all the time on how I look amazing, but even better than that I love feeling stronger and having the energy to keep up with my very active kids. I've kept up a lot of the eating habits I started in those 5 weeks and I am now back down to my pre-kids weight for the first time in 9 years. I feel amazing!


What brought me to CrossFit Erie?  I was sick and tired of being “ sick and tired”.  I hated going to the gym, it was boring, I never knew what to do. 

My first thought when I started was, these people are nuts! I was surprised to see what “normal” looking people could accomplish. These weren’t muscle bound meatheads with gallon jugs of water, yet they were moving and accomplishing things I didn’t think were possible. 

Throughout my CrossFit journey, I’ve learned that with consistency and focus, great strides can be made. My very first bright spot would have to be getting double unders, after 2 years of practice! Most recently it was completing the Crossfit Open Rx for the first time, thank you Shelby and Diana!
